On August 8th, the Cross-border E-commerce Summit with the theme of “Internet + Foreign Trade---Social Media Matters” was held in Changsha. It was guided by the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce and Changsha Municipal Bureau of Commerce, organized by the Administration Committee of Changsha National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and operated by Hunan VCHOO Technology Co., Ltd.. More than 300 cross-border e-commerce industry representatives, investors and experts from Hunan Province gathered in Changsha. They discussed about the latest development of cross-border e-commerce, and how it will bring new opportunities to traditional enterprises in Hunan.
The Summit has invited many important guests including leaders from Google China, Facebook China, and LinkedIn China headquarters. They made a deep analysis of the new technology of Google AMP; shared the application and effects of such new technologies; told stories of successful enterprises like Facebook and YouTube; comprehensively analyzed LinkedIn’s marketing model; and talked about how to improve digital marketing and operational capabilities in the era of big data.
Statistics told that in 2017, Changsha's e-commerce transaction volume reached 518.229 billion CNY, a year-on-year growth rate of 37.74%, accounting for 62% of Hunan province.
At the same time, the number of e-commerce companies in Changsha has increased significantly: there were 38 enterprises with e-commerce certification in Changsha. And the total number reached 227; the number of provincial-level demonstration enterprises amounted to 38, making up half of the whole province.
