The 4th Investing in Africa Forum (IAF) is being held in Changsha, capital of Hunan province, (September 6-8, 2018). distinguished guests are from 25 African countries, 12 international and regional organizations, and 4 African enterprises. 2018 IAF is organized by the Ministry of Finance, the Hunan provincial government, the China Development Bank, and the World Bank, The agendas include an opening ceremony, keynote speeches, roundtables, special forums, and investment promotion fairs.

The forum focuses on cooperation in five fields, namely Agricultural Modernization, Cultural Education, Climate Change and New Energy Development, Medical Treatment and Public Health, as well as Digital Economy and Innovation, Representatives and experts exchange notes and share experiences together.

As an important resolution made at the Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in 2015, the IAF serves as a global platform for multilateral cooperation, promoting opportunities to increase investment in Africa.
China and African countries take turns hosting the forum every year. Until now,three sessions have been successfully held in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, and Dakar, capital of Senegal.
